Ms. Hollandsworth: making her mark on the community
This year, Jesuit High School Sacramento rewelcomes Wellness Counselor Ms. Abigail “Abby” Hollandsworth as a full-time mental health clinician in the Wellness Center. Having worked part time at Jesuit last year as a Marriage and Family Therapy Trainee, Ms. Hollandsworth has already been making her mark in our community.

Ms. Kathy Van Liefde to retire after decades of kind service
In her 27 years at Jesuit High School Sacramento, Ms. Kathy Van
Liefde has served as a math teacher and, in her current capacity,
as a guidance counselor. In all her responsibilities, she has
maintained a positive attitude and a focus on her students’
well-being.
Colin Marks ‘23: rising to new heights
Colin Marks ’23, one of the best volleyball players in the
country, has helped propel the Jesuit High School Sacramento
volleyball team to new competitive heights over his four years in
the program, culminating in the team securing the Division 1
Section title last weekend.
Jayden Weathersbee ’23: great leader, promising future
Throughout his time at Jesuit High School Sacramento, Jayden
Weathersbee ’23 has distinguished himself as a strong and capable
athlete and leader on Jesuit’s wrestling team, rising to captain
for one of Jesuit’s historically best wrestling teams. The sport,
however, wasn’t initially on his radar when he joined the Jesuit
community.
Landon Darling ’25 rocks the rodeo
Landon Darling ’25, a sophomore at Jesuit High School Sacramento,
has recently decided to pursue his interest in Rodeo, a unique
and competitive sport that involves intensive training and
rigorous work with horses.
Freshman finding success on the diamond
Varsity baseball at Jesuit High School Sacramento has been
amongst the most competitive programs in the Northern California
area, with many players signing with top collegiate programs and
eventually finding their way into Major League Baseball. Because
of this competitive history, when a freshman makes the Varsity
squad, it’s noticed.
Jesuit celebrates Salutatorian and Valedictorian
On Saturday, May 20th, at the Memorial Auditorium, Jesuit High
School Sacramento’s class of 2023 will gather for their
graduation. Two seniors, Charles Sander ’23 and William Gillick
’23, received the distinct honor to speak on behalf of their
classmates, serving as the Valedictorian and Salutatorian of the
2023 senior class.

The month of May marks the beginning of Mental Health Awareness
Month, a time that sheds light on the importance of mental health
and encourages people who might be struggling to reach out for
support. This year, Jesuit High School Sacramento is working hard
to spread awareness and help their students.
