Fr. Edwin B. Harris, S.J., is now on his 4th “Tour of Duty” at Jesuit High School.  He entered the Jesuits in 1963 after having graduated from St. Ignatius High School in San Francisco. Most of his active Jesuit career has been associated with Secondary Education, including assignments at St. Ignatius College Preparatory (San Francisco), Bellarmine College Preparatory (San Jose), and Jesuit High School (Sacramento). He has an MA in European History and an M.Div. in Theology.

At Jesuit High School, Fr. Harris was a teacher of history, coach, and moderator (1969-72); he was Assistant Principal (1975-77); then Principal (1977-81); and finally, the President (1988-2000). He has now returned to Marauderville to serve as Alumni Chaplain.

Fr. Harris has also served as the Assistant to the Provincial of the California Province for Secondary Education (2008-13) and President of St. Ignatius College Preparatory in San Francisco (2014-16). Over the years, he has served on the boards of trustees of several schools.  He currently serves on the Board of Directors for Cristo Rey High School of Sacramento as the Jesuit representative.
